Hello! My name is Pamela Grimes. I am pleased that you have taken the time to check out my website and some of the work I have completed over the past few years.

I started my design journey when I was only 14 years old. I was in a program called Avid in middle school and they encouraged us all to apply for Harford Tech High School. I love a challenge, so I was thrilled to do so. When applying I choose the graphic design program. At the time I had no idea what it was but thought it was the best choice for me as someone who was interested in art. I got accepted and studied graphic design for four years. At this school I got the opportunity to work with a professional designer, my classmates, and clients. While I was there, I learned the core design programs and production.
When I graduated, I knew graphic design was what I wanted to pursue. It allowed me to be creative, crafty, talk to new people, and challenged me to learn new things. I knew it was my passion.

I am now about to graduate from Towson University, and I am still loving the field. I am so excited that I have found what I genuinely love and get to work full time in it in just a few months.

When I'm not working on design work I enjoy things like painting, photography,
and traveling. I started painting in high school just because I always liked to draw but disliked using a medium that did not feel as permanent. My first painting was a Flamingo and it was okay...lol. I knew I wanted to get good so I continued practicing in my free time and still do. I enjoy a wide variety of subjects but my favorites are portraits and still life's. I'm happy I stook with this skill because I have utilized it in many design projects.

I also started photographing in high school. My mom is the owner of Southern Shutter Photography in Harford County and she needed a second shooter for weddings. I went on a few to learn with her and I now second shoot with her and Alexis Manning Photography part time. I love going on weddings and getting to be part of people's special day.

I started traveling in 2020 and since then I have gone to Maine, The Smokey Mountains, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. It's not much but I plan on making a trip every year. We only have one life and I want to be sure I see as much as I can.

Then lastly, when I'm not busy with all of those things I enjoy hanging out at home
and watching movies with my two kitty cats.

Thank you for sticking around and reading all about me! I hope to learn some about you as well. Message me through my contact page and I will be sure to reach back out to you!
